COUPLET POETRY is a free monthly event, with extended readings from two poets whose work offers complements and contrasts.

Couplet represents a long-standing collaboration between Brisbane Libraries and Queensland Poetry Festival.

COUPLET JULY:
PAM BROWN is a Sydney poet living on unceded Gadigal land. Pam has published multiple chapbooks and over fifteen full collections of poetry, most recently Missing up (2015) and Click here for what we do (2018), both published by Vagabond Press. She has been writing, collaborating, editing and publishing in diverse modes both locally and internationally for over four decades.

NATALIE HARKIN is a Narungga woman from South Australia. She works at Flinders University with an interest in decolonising state archives, currently engaging archival-poetic methods to research and document Aboriginal women’s domestic service and labour histories in SA. Her books include Dirty Words (Cordite Books), and Archival-poetics (Vagabond Press).
To keep our communities safe during the 2020 COVID-19 crisis, Couplet Poetry is now presented online via facebook live.

Tune in and enjoy the live-chat every first Friday of the month at 6pm AEST on the QPF or Brisbane Libraries facebook page. Join in on Facebook Live (you don’t need an FB account to watch).

Couplet Poetry Online is presented in partnership with Qld Live Streaming.
